Tejiendo el Cuerpo

An occupation as ancient as spinning; the Extremaduran tradition of transforming wool; a phrase found in a book — since the beginning of the world, grandmothers have woven — and the closeness of a mother in the twilight of life, becoming a mother again and again whenever she picks up her needles.

These elements came together in choreographer and dancer Cristina Rosa’s imagination to “weave” a beautiful, romantic and distinctive parallel between the transformation of wool, from its origins to the finished fabric, and the journey of life.
