Tai Sabaki

Tai-sabaki [体捌き] is an expression used in Japanese martial arts to refer to movement, displacement or repositioning of the body. It could be translated as the “management” or “handling” (sabaki) of the “body” or “reality” (tai).

Tai Sabaki is a work about movement in the face of change: the remarkable human capacity to adapt, overcome difficulties, reinvent and rebuild ourselves again and again.

A contemporary dance solo created in 2013 that, like its creator, has continued to transform over the years.
