About the work
The word Argia means Light. This work connects with the Toulouse Lautrec exhibition and the circus through the magic of lighting and colour. Part of it is inspired by French songs, recalling an immersion in Parisian bohemian life. Light symbolises that illusion, that wish to make people smile, that spectacle offered by circus artists, and also the uncertainty and instability of their way of life. Light illuminates. Be a light for yourself; be a light for others.
